Pasos Project
I entered the world of front-end development by gaining some knowledge in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript through SheCodes. I used my knowledge of these languages, along with my new skills in VS Code, to build a landing page for Pasos for Oak Cliff, a non-profit I am very passionate about and serve as Volunteer Director of Events. This landing page page utilizes JavaScript functions to create user interaction.

I built a Vanilla JavaScript weather app in SheCodes Plus, an advanced 8-week JavaScript coding workshop. Building upon my previously-gained knowledge, I also became skilled in Bootstrap, API’s, real-life development workflow, hosting, and advanced JavaScript. I combined all of these skills to create a fully-functioning Weather App.

Before joining SheCodes, I immersed myself in designing a personal brand and operational online store website. Designing this website influenced me to learn beyond my interest in basic design (in which I have years of experience as a transitioning educator), and begin to challenge myself to coding and front-end development through SheCodes.
